The city of Chichester has a long history going back to Roman times and there are still many historic sites of interest such as the cathedral and the ancient city walls. There is a vibrant arts and cultural scene with the famous Festival Theatre, cinemas, galleries, museums and the annual cultural festival held every July. There is also a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars to suit every taste and budget. The city centre has great shopping with a mix of famous High Street stores and high quality independent clothes and shoe shops. Chichester lies between two areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the South Downs and Chichester Harbour - as well as other nature reserves, stunning beaches and dramatic coastline to the south.

Both campuses (Chichester/Bishop Otter and Bognor Regis) are easily accessible from the major UK international airports of Heathrow and Gatwick about 90 minutes by train from London. The area is renowned for having the highest number of hours of sunshine in the UK. The southern England coast is home to many beaches that offer the opportunity to take long walks, enjoy sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing, and many other activities. The town centre is just a short, easy walk from the campus. Students can find a range of shopping facilities, numerous traditional restaurants.
